Food + Furniture // Cinco de Mayo

Food + Furniture // Cinco de MayoMost people don’t think of much apart from margaritas on Cinco de Mayo, and while we love ourselves a good margarita (or two), we can’t help but be inspired by the bright colors and patterns typically seen in south of the border-inspired design (and drinks). There is usually an eclectic, collected feel to these homes and the open space, clean walls, and exposed beams makes for an inviting energy. This conversationally-centered living room (note 3 sofas) makes us want to curl up with our margaritas in hand and talk the night away. In looking at the design, it is comprised of neutral sofas, colorful pillows, and patterned barstools.  And don’t underestimate the power of an area rug- in this room it makes all the difference. Again, we can’t emphasize enough the power of accessories and how they can truly transform the feel of a space.

On a more serious note, how delicious do these sangria swirled frozen margaritas look? Is it 5 o’clock yet?
