This time of year can be hectic with holiday shopping, parties and functions. We thought we would take a moment to slow down, catch our breath and share a few of our favorite things that help us find joy in the craziest of moments.
Kathy, our movie and TV aficionado, loves her critically acclaimed Netflix series’. Whether it be historical fiction, thriller or romantic drama, this time of year, she loves to curl up by the fire and flip on her tv.
Gail loves getting together with family and friends this time of year. With the recent addition of her grandson and the added joy he brings, the holidays have never been so fun!
Kersten loves pine tree scented candles, like the Nest candle we have in the stores. They are great for the holidays and homes without live trees! With a blend of white pine, fir balsam and birchwood with hints of musk and amber, these candles treat your nose (and guests) to a sensory trip through a majestic winter forest!
Mary’s favorite thing about this time of year is celebrating all of her families’ traditions——family and friend gatherings, Christmas Eve Mass, chicken and wild rice soup, wearing our pajamas while driving around looking at holiday lights, “hiking” to collect our tree and most importantly taking time to give thanks for our blessings.
Nancy loves the festive vessels with an antler motif from Zodax. The whimsical touches and holiday feel make this the perfect accessory to decorate the home.
Mary DJ loves celebrating with her coworkers when 5 o’clock rolls around. It is a great time to reflect on the day’s work and to appreciate our work family this time of year.
Carolynn’s favorite thing to do during the holiday season is figuring out the holiday tablescape! Knowing Carolynn, we are sure her attention to detail and great vision creates an eye-catching display.
Rhonda’s new favorite thing is the Fitzgerald cocktail served at the Commodore Lounge in St Paul. We’re hoping she recreates them for the office holiday party!
Lauren’s favorite thing is the large silver bowl with antlers for handles also from Zodax. The bowl can be filled with anything from bottles of champagne and ice to fun decorative accessories!
David loves buying presents for his nephew, Ace! An avid shoe collector himself, David couldn’t have been happier when Ace requested a pair of original Chuck Taylor’s!
While it is so easy to get caught up in the chaos of wish lists, elves and shelves, and holiday plans, remembering to live in the moment and appreciate what we already have can be quite a task! This holiday season, make it a goal to slow down to enjoy the blessings and the little things around us that make us happy!
