It’s Greek To Me…
Pick number three for our Dinner Club came from our Logistics Manager, Sharon. We’ve shared a laugh and glass of wine over French cuisine, classic Italian, and now…Greek! The atmosphere of the restaurant was very lively; the dim lights and candles warmed the chilly evening right up.
We started our meal with two appetizers—warm pita bread accompanied both the Htipiti, a spicy hot feta cheese spread, and the Tzatziki dip. Both starters were devoured before we even got around to ordering our main course! For the mains, we each ordered something different but equally as yummy-sounding.
Our selection ranged from the nightly pasta special and grilled salmon to the more traditional chicken kebabs and gyros.
The salmon was grilled perfectly and was accompanied by delicious oven-roasted potatoes and spinach. The chicken, both kebab and gyro, was spectacular! The warm pita with a piece of chicken and a little tzatziki complemented one another nicely. The shrimp was in an unique sauce that made you want to lick the plate. We didn’t though—don’t worry 😉 We had no leftovers to enjoy the next day; everything was fresh and light…exactly how you imagine Greek food to be.
